Now he is starring in the soon to be released movie, Ninja Assassin. Since he can easily be called one of the most famous people in Korea, it’s no surprise that he has so many followers rom singers to actors, they’ve all names Rain someone they model themselves after.

He is a role model for so many young boys and girls and even the stars. Check out the male celebrities who have admitted their respect for Rain:
Jung Il Woo
“He’s at the top but he’s still so nice and polite. I look up to that. He can act and sing and I wish I could be good at everything like him. I can’t sing or dance but I want to work as hard he does with my acting and be like him.”
ChanSung of 2PM
“I’ve always liked Rain hyung but when I joined JYP and saw him work I really respected him and looked up to him. I realized his job is not something that happens overnight. He works so hard to be where he is.”
TaeMin of SHINee

A)In Korea, I love Rain subaenim. I memorize his schedule sometimes because I love him so much. I always listen to him so I feel like my voice tone is becoming a bit like his. People say I remind them of him and that is such an honor.
AJ

When people tell me I’m a mini version of Rain, it’s such an honor. I’d rather hear that than ‘He copies Rain.’ Now that I’ve followed after him, I want to create my own style too.”
TaeGoon
“He’s an amazingly talented person. I realized how amazing he really is when I went on stage myself. Thank you for comparing me to him but I can’t just stop there. I have to keep working hard to be myself. I haven’t met him yet but one day I want to perform with him.”
Park Tae Hwan

SHINee leaves Taiwan; 200 fans rush to say goodbye

South Korean boyband SHINee finished their 25-hour trip to Taiwan yesterday, leaving on the afternoon of the 20th.
The members all seemingly have become experts in the unique game of <SHINee Fist>, created by staff members using the main-point dance movements of <Nuna Neomu Yeoppo>.
Not only did they constantly do the actions, they even complemented the game by saying “Nuna oh Nuna” in Chinese, and SHINee also wishes to hold a concert in Taiwan someday.
SHINee arrived in Taiwan on the 19th, and attended an Azio TV programme whereby they had mooncakes, pomelos and Taiwanese cuisine. The five boys liked the sweet-and-sour pork ribs dish, along with braised pork best, saying that they were very “tasty”.
On the 20th, more than 200 fans flooded the airport to send their idols off. Even as SHINee entered customs, they still repeatedly pounded on the glass to make the boys take a glance back, leading the customs security to remark, “This is just like the zoo.”

Top K-pop groups SHINee and KARA, and Ryan from the boy band Paran appeared in an event Wednesday organized by Thai Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya ― the eldest daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Korean stars performed in the opening gala show of the Thailand Entertainment Expo 2009, Siam. They also greeted the princess and delivered gifts from Korea, including DVDs of the popular TV soap “Boys Over Flowers” and local movies, Yonhap News reported Thursday.
In Thailand, the king is revered as a living image of the Buddha and the royal family is regarded with utmost respect. The special Korea-Thailand encounter was able to take place because the princess is the honorary ambassador to the expo.
The 58-year-old appeared gracefully in a purple dress to tour the expo hall and made welcoming remarks to SHINee members and Ryan upon receiving the presents.
The gift choice was inspired by her royal highness’ interest and work in the entertainment industry; she is known to have produced films and TV series, and acted in the film “Where the Miracle Happens.”
The princess, who visited South Korea in December 2008 to promote the Thailand Entertainment Expo, said she enjoyed watching Korean dramas such as “Jewel in the Palace,” “Full House” and “Autumn Fairytale,”and liked K-pop singer Rain.
Meanwhile, SHINee visited a local orphanage prior to the event. Some 200 Thai fans showed up at the venue to welcome the all-boy group, said local reports. About 100 children from the orphanage also joined the crowd.
The five-member band gave dance performances and talent gigs, and also split into two teams to play basketball with the care center children. They also delivered gift T-shirts bearing “hangeul” (Korean alphabet) designs.
SHINee, girl band KARA and Ryan participated in an outdoor concert Thursday at Park Paragon for the 1st Korea-Thailand Friendship Concert. Thai stars were also featured in the event, including male duo Golf & Mike, female singer Namcha and male singer Ice.
