You Want To Eat Rice Cakes With Moon Geun Young & MC Mong

Actress Moon Geun Yeong and singer MC Mong have been voted the stars Korean netizens want to make song-pyun (traditional rice cake eaten during Chuseok festival) with.

Specialist education enterprise EduWill did a survey on 1204 netizens from 14th to 25th September on the question, “Which entertainer do you want to knead song-pyun with?” and the results were released on 28th September.

We’re Not Living Together

Clazziquai members Alex and Horan have denied rumours about them living together, while appearing on tvN ‘Taxi’ recently, saying “Definitely not true”.

They revealed, “We found it ridiculous after learning about rumours saying that we are living together.”

Alex, “There is no way the 2 of us will develop into lovers. I want to be Horan’s friend forever.”

He added, “My first impression of Horan was that she was arrogant and smart and also hard to get close to. But we got close after 8 bottles of soju, some chicken feet and conger.”

In Clazziquai, currently Alex and Horan are single and member DJ Clazzi is married.

Meanwhile, Alex also revealed more about the group Clazziquai, “Actually the vocalist Christina for Clazziquai is my real noona. She was part of Clazziquai initially and introduced me into the group. Clazziquai consists of 4 members – me, Horan, Christina and DJ Clazzi. Christina and DJ Clazzi only take part in the recording of albums, when it comes to broadcast programmes, me and Horan will be the ones in charge.”

Alex Publishes His Spoon

Last year, Clazziquai singer Horan put out an essay collection; now her bandmate Alex is coming out with an essay collection of his own, a food-related book called Alex’s Spoon. (The tagline under the title reads, “A food diary of a sweet guy living a delicious life.”)

This shouldn’t come as too much of a stretch for the vocalist, or be a surprise for his fans; Alex was reportedly a chef in his pre-singer days, and not long ago hosted a food program on Japanese television called Delicious Korea.

Although food is the main theme, Alex’s Spoon also contains essays describing childhood family memories, his thoughts about making music, and a look back at his love relationships. The book includes photographs, recipes, recommended restaurants, and so forth.

Alex is currently promoting the song “Tell Yourself,” and recently gave a solo concert at Akasaka Blitz in Japan on September 19. The book Alex’s Spoon will be published on September 23 — which, incidentally, is the same day that Yonsama’s own food and culture book, Journey in Search of Korea’s Beauty, will be released.

Clazziquai’s Bringing Sexy Back

Clazziquai’s Alex and Horan will show off their tough and sexy charms through 2nd music video “Tell Yourself”, a track from their 4th album, “Mucho Punk.” Last month, “Tell Yourself” Japanese version won first place in the Japanese iTunes Club Dance chart. And now, they’re ready to pull out the Korean version of the song, along with beautiful model, Han Ji Yeon in their upcoming music video. Horan and Alex will be transformed into these athletic individuals with the ’sporty’ concept all across the music video.

Han Ji Yeon entered the Elite Model Line-up – Ewha Women’s University in 2005, and she’s well known as the owner of this super slim lean fantastic body (178cm). She’ll be participating in the MV as a volleyball player.

Lee Hyori’s New Partner

Take your breath guys, it’s not a MV again, but they both will be MC-ing together on the 25th at University of Incheon for the 33rd annual song festival ,MBC University Song Festival 2009.

Lee Hyori has been MCing for this event for 7 years now. Alex, who performed at this event last year, is going to be a MC for this event for the 1st time with the beautiful Lee Hyori too. Through Radio shows and TV programs, he showed how comfortable and good he is with talking and MCing.

Lee Seung Hwan’s Hwantastic Project

MC Sniper, Outsider, and Ho Ran (Clazziquai) were recently revealed in a teaser for one of Lee Seung Hwan’s “Hwantastic Project” song called, “Heart Disease”.

Now what is Hwantastic Project?
Dream Factory Club (founded by Lee Seung Hwan) will partner up with Fluxus Music to promote Lee Seung Hwan’s “Hwantastic Project.” This project is for Lee Seung Hwan’s 20th anniversary since his first debut, and it will showcase his songs from the past. This projects first work is a song from his 8th album titled “Heart Disease” and it will be reinterpreted by artists MC Sniper, Outsider and Ho Ran (Clazziquai). The three of them are also said to be filming in the MV as well. This Digital Single is set to be released on September 7th, while the full album will be available in October.

Even though the teaser was only released today, it has been hitting 1st place in music video portal sites. With one of the most recognized hip hop artist MC Sniper followed by Outsider who can rap 17 syllables a second, AND with a beautiful voice in Ho Ran, this will be an exciting song to wait for. Especially since it features Outsider – who is my favorite artist.

Mucho Mix To Release in Japan

Eletronic trio Clazziquai will release another Japanese album this year. Under the name Mucho Mix, the new project is scheduled for October 28 and will include collaboration with a vocalist and a remixer chosen at a audition that was held in July this year.

The album will also include the participation of DAISHI DANCE, Yasutaka Nakata (capsule), Sugiurumn, CLOUD, W, DJ CLAZZIQUAI.

The song Tell Yourself (DAISHI DANCE Remix-ENGLISH Ver .-) was launched in iTunes Japan on June 10 and is already guaranteed in the album, but the others have not been unveiled yet.

Mucha MUSICA, the first Japanese album, was launched on July 1st this year by Universal Music Japan. You can already pre-order the new album at CDJapan here.

J Will Release Dream Catcher

Singer J (real name: Jung Jae Young) will soon be releasing her digital single album, Dream Catcher. Many might not know who she is, but she’s the one who sang the popular song, Perhaps Love with Howl from Princess Hours.

Her digital single album will include her dance song, Dream and a duet ballad, Say I Love You with Clazziquai’s Alex. J expressed, “I am very happy to return as a singer again. I hope that my album will help to chase away bad dreams for everyone.” Her digital album will be released on 3rd September and J will then release a full-length album around October.

What does “Romantic Guy” Alex do on a date in public?

Clazziquai front-man, the Romantic Guy Alex is back on the dating scene. After getting off the show that made him what he is today, what will the romantic guy of Korea will do on a date in public? We shall see on Mnet “Scandal”!

Last month, Mnet came out with this show “Mnet scandal” that mixing up the dating scene of a star with real people. The show has invited a few other singers, such as Kim Joon and former G.O.D. member, Danny Ahn.

Alex, who is known to be the romantic and thoughtful guy, will be the ideal date for most women. Who wouldn’t want to be swept away by his voice and gentle gestures? Buying flowers and gifts for his girlfriend, even cook for her and able to put on an apron for a great candlelight dinner?

The first meeting will be like a surprise meeting in front of the theatre, then like any other ‘normal ‘dates in Korea, the couple walk together, visiting nearby food/accessories stalls. In addition, because of the fans following them, they end up holding each other’s hands to pass through the crowds. Some of them ask Alex, “Who’s the girl next to you?”, and just like the scene in the movie, his date is supposed to come up with an answer like, “I’m his girlfriend.”

Alex’s date had to tell her parents and relative to make sure they know this was all just acting (for the show “Scandal”). And true to his reputation, Alex is able to create a perfect, romantic date.
