Singer Lee Seung Gi, has been labeled the blue chip of the MC world in Korean entertainment. He will be working with seonbae Baek Ji Young as MCs for ‘Shall We Dance’.

Lee Seung Gi and Baek Ji Young will be the MCs to the chuseok special ‘Shall We Dance’ with which the airing will take place on 2nd October.

‘Shall We Dance’ is an annual chuseok special show which sees the participation of stars and celebrity taking on various dance sports challenges.

Lee Seung Gi is currently the MCs to the variety shows KBS ‘2 days 1 night’ and recently jumped on board as MC with Kang Ho Dong on SBS ‘Strong Heart’. And also on KBS ‘Shin DongYeop and Shin BongSeon’s Champagne’ because of the popularity of his own corner on the show, recently they did a chuseok special ‘Lee Seung Gi’s ideal type World cup’.

Mark your calenders people! New talk show is coming with MC Kang HoDong and Lee SeungKi (1 Night 2 Day Couple) and the first episode features epic guests you will be screaming about! (Get ready to scream VIPs because you are in for a double luck this time!)

SBS is launching a new variety show called “Strong Heart.” The main MC role had been given to Kang HoDong and his partner for success is Lee Seung Ki. The producers had declared that Kang HoDong will be in charge of pushing forth the power while Lee SeungKi will be representing the smooth image to the viewers.

The program “Strong Heart” will be a battle talk show where 24 guests come in and talk about their hard experiences in their social life. The producer also added “I double casted Kang HoDong and Lee SeungKi for a new and fresh experience. Anticipate their perfect match they will be displaying.”

“Strong Heart” will be going into first recording on the coming 24th. They are planning on setting up a red carpet event in front of SBS building at 9PM. The first episode guests to the show include (hold on to your breath) : GDragon, SeungRi, Yoona, Tablo, Baek JiYoung, Kim TaeWoo, Jang YoonJeong, Yoon SaeYoon, SolBi, and much more. The first airing of this episode will be on October 6th.

Baek Ji Young’s Encouraging Message

Baek Jiyoung, a singer who is actively spreading ‘My Ear’s Candy’ promotions with 2PM’s Taecyeon, conveyed an encouraging message and wistful heart to Jaebum who had withdrawn from 2PM due to the Korean criticism shock.

Baek Jiyoung revealed “Jaebum is accepting the mistake and is thoroughly regretting it. Continuing, to Jaebum who is currently in Seattle “Jaebum-ah.. I hope that you win over this hardship for your jump to the second episode and I would like it if you make this chance as a turning point and an opportunity for you to add another wing. I would like it you aren’t faltered by the world’s words and that you have strength” she added as a warm cheer and encouragement.

Taec Yeon’s Last My Ear’s Candy Performance

With Nichkhun skipping Star King and Taecyeon and Wooyoung taking a leave of absence from their Inkigayo MC roles recently, it was announced that Taecyeon will be totally off the screen from this Saturday onwards.

2PM’s Taecyeon will leave the stage this Saturday, 19th September after featuring for Baek Ji Young’s “My Ear’s Candy” stage for the last time. This was inevitable following the temporary suspension of the individual activities for the other 2PM members, following the Jaebeom incident. Fans can look forward to Taecyeon for three more stages, starting with M! Countdown tonight, Music Bank tomorrow and the final stage on Music Core this Saturday.

Stopping short of saying that this was because of Jaebeom, a representative for Baek Ji Young said, “Our original plan was to end promotions for My Ear’s Candy this weekend anyway. We wish to thank Taecyeon for his wild, sexy charisma and the good chemistry shown with Baek Ji Young for their performances on stage.”

This will leave Junho as the only remaining 2PM member to have a solo schedule now as there are no news yet about him getting dropped or leaving Dream Team Season 2, which has just started airing not too long ago. The producers of Dream Team refused to give any assurances, but are saying that they are in continuous discussions with JYP Entertainment about Junho’s participation.

Dara Takes Down G-Dragon on Mnet Charts

2NE1 member Sandara Park’s solo debut song ‘Kiss’ has went up to #1 on the 2nd week of September on Mnet weekly chart on Mnet.com for its first week on the chart.

The song ‘Kiss’ went up to the #1 spot 4 days after its first reveal, and also the MV to the song which features Boys Over Flowers actor Lee MinHo revealed on 10th September has also gained the song much interests.

With that Kim TaeWoo is at #2 with his comeback song ‘Love Rain’ rising up 20 positions, singer Lee SeungChul’s ‘Love is Difficult’ also rose up 40 positions to be at #8.

On the chart this week, it seems that the solo singers are gaining the influence in Kpop – of the top 10 positions, 5 positions were occupied by solos singers. This is something new from the era of the girlgroups in summer.

GDragon has fallen 2 positions down to #3 with his solo debut song ‘Heartbreaker’ and another solo singer Baek Ji Young is up #7 with ‘My Ear’s Candy’.

And 8eight member Lee Hyun’s solo debut ‘30 minutes ago’ is also doing strong at #10 for its first week on the chart.
