Must Watch The Idol Chuseok Special!

Nine top idol groups will appear on an SBS-TV special on Chuseok, which falls on Oct. 3.

The program, titled “Idol Big Show,” will feature G-dragon of Big Bang, Girls’ Generation, 2NE1, Kara, SHINee, Lee Seung-gi, 4Minute, After School and 2AM.

The stars will present joint performances.

The six members of After School will sing Pussycat Dolls’ hit song “Buttons” and perform what producers have described as a “very sexy dance.”

Girls’ Generation will sing their debut song “Into the New World.” Also, the nine members will be turned “cute bunny girls” and present their hit song of this year “Gee.”

The “Idol Big Show” will be on air at 11:10 p.m. on Oct. 3.

New We Got Married Couples

MBC ‘We Got Married’ will have 2 new couples added to the show for Chuseok special.

According to the preview episode revealed on 26th September, the new couples will have their first meeting. SG Wannabe Lee SeokHoon and Kim NaYoung will meet again 1 month after their train vacation.

Also there, the other new couple will be Brown Eyed Girls GaIn and 2AM member JoKwon. Originally, GaIn’s make-believe husband was 2PM Nich Khun but Jo Kwon was confirmed on the show instead.

The production team revealed on 28th September, “We have not decided to have the new couples stay permanently on the show or just appear on the ChuSeok special of the show.”

Ga In’s Getting Married

It was revealed today that Brown Eyed Girls member, Son Ga-In, will become part of the make-believe marriage variety show, We Got Married. The current couples on the show include Hwang Jung Eum – Kim Young Joon, UEE – Park Jae Jung and another couple (scroll below).

A preview of Ga-In meeting her make-believe husband was aired on September 26 although his identity remains a mystery. Even though the make-believe husband will only be revealed next week, this new development in We Got Married has got everyone very excited about who the make-believe husband will be, particularly as Ga-In has gained a huge following after the Abracadabra promotions with Brown Eyed Girls.

Some netizens are debating amongst one another if the husband might be 2PM member, Nichkhun but other netizens are saying it’s definitely not possible due to the recent Jaebeom controversy.

Other male celebrities that are being thrown around include trot singer Park Hyun Bin, 2AM’s leader Jo Kwon and even comedic MC Boom. I’m certainly jealous of the person that will be “married” to sexy Ga-In soon.

In other news, it has been revealed that SG Wannabe member Lee Seok Hun will star in his first make-believe marriage episode with Kim Na Young next week.

Wonder Girls Temporarily Back in Korea

WonderGirls members YooBin and SoHee will back temporarily in Korea from America.

JYP Entertainment revealed through a phone interview on 26th September, “SoHee and YooBin have returned to Korea on 25th September. The 2 of them are back on personal reasons. They will be sending time with their family this ChuSeok (mid Autumn). They should be returning to America by mid week next week not their schedule has yet been confirmed.”

Also, it was known that the girls met up with other singers from the company after so long at the company’s office in CheongDamDong. Selca photos taken between YooBin and 2AM member SeulOng was also revealed.
Meanwhile, the girls are preparing for the release of their new album in America after releasing their debut digital single ‘Nobody’ in June.

Lee Hyori Acting Again?

Whether Singer Lee Hyori will challenge acting again is stirring up rumors in the movie industry.

It has been four years since Hyori acted in the 2005 TV series, “Three Leaf Clover,” as Kang Jina. On the 23rd, news surfaced that the movie “Bling Bling” whose script is already done, has unofficially casted Hyori.

“Bling Bling,” a cheery and light comedy, is based on the book, “Apgujeong Diary.” The plot centers around three women. While they spend their last Christmas together as a group, they bet on who brings the most handsome boyfriend to their final gathering, which initiates a series of love stories.

The producers of “Bling Bling” said, “There are many people under consideration and plans aren’t confirmed as of now.” However, they seem confident in casting Hyori for the role. Although Hyori has been criticized before, most of the criticism stemmed from the character written by the script that Hyori played on the series. Officials from the movie industry stated, “At the time, Hyori wanted to portray a girl who remains happy and cheerful despite bad times. In the end, what failed was the choice of the role,” and “There’s a very good chance that Hyori may transition into an actress through the straightforward and honest role in ‘Bling Bling’ which matches her personality very well.”

While being interviewed for a magazine, Hyori said, “I don’t want to be casted simply for my popularity or influence. It has to be a role I’m suitable for. If such a role exists, I want to try acting again.”

However, worries arise due to the untimeliness of this role. Sources said, “We haven’t received any plans about this role,” and “Her album is coming out soon, so filming and promoting might be too exhausting.”

“Bling Bling” will be directed by Bae Yong Joon’s ex-girlfriend, Lee Sa Gang. She graduated from Chung-Ang University as a film major and has directed music videos for Fly to the Sky, 2AM and other idols. In addition, she received an award for her first short film from The London Film School and the 2004 Judges’ Award for short film.

Some of the biggest names in Kpop world will come together in one place.

GDragon, So Nyeo Shi Dae, 2NE1, KARA, SHINee, Lee Seung Gi, 4Minute, 2AM etc will be appearing on SBS ‘Mid Autumn Special – Idol Big Show’ on 3rd October.

They will be putting up some great performances as well as joint performances. They will also reveal their quarters live, their practice process, everyday lifestyle as well as their promotions through the special idol-on-idol interview on the show.

Some of the idols will even go as far as to coming back to Korea amidst their busy overseas promotions for this show.

Seul Ong Wants His Idol Image Back

On an upcoming episode of SBS Sixth Quiz Sense, 2AM member Seulong expressed that he wants his idol image back.

For those who have not heard of Dirty Eyed Girls before, 2AM’s Seulong and Jokwon and 2PM’s Chansung, Taecyeon, and Wooyoung collaborated together for a parody of Brown Eyed Girls’ hit song “Abracadabra” not too long ago. On an epic episode of Mnet’s Wild Bunny, the 5 male idol stars exhibited a sexy(?) performance that you simply couldn’t pry your eyes away from and even imitated the ever-so-popular “saucy hip swing”.

When asked about his notorious “saucy hip swing” during this filming, 2AM’s main eye candy solemnly replied, “The image of a ballad singer that I built up for 1 year has collapsed.” He added, “I don’t want to discuss this topic any further. It brings back unpleasant memories,” creating a round of laughs from viewers and contestants on the show alike.

Seulong should be quite proud of himself that the video has hit over 205k views on YouTube already. However, I have to admit that the next time he’s on stage serenading the audience with those smooth vocals of his, my mind will naturally drift towards an image of a caveman-figure with a fake mole under his eye gyrating his hips to the line “I will clean my armpit hair.”

Jo Kwon’s Been Confessed To

2AM Jo Kwon talks about being confessed to by group female singers.

Jo Kwon appeared as one of the MCs to the new SBS environmental variety show ‘Find it! Green Gold’ on 14th September, and SS501 member Kim HyungJoon has asked the question, “Have you been confessed to by more than 1 female entertainer?” and Jo Kwon answered, “Yes”.

And then Fly To The Sky Brain asked, “Group singer? Solo singer?” hoping for a truthful answer, and then Super Junior ShinDong interrupted with, “OK, we shall stop here” giving hope to Jo Kwon to change the topic.

But Jo Kwon had gone to answer Brian’s question, “Group”. And ShinDong joked, “Since you said group, we shall not ask if she is a singer or actress.”

The show features 2AM’s Jo Kwon, SS501 Kim Hyung Joon, Super Junior Shin Dong and Brian Joo as MCs going around to places on their bicycle and solving environmental problems they spot.

Kim Hyung Joon Reassures Fans

After hearing the news of SS501’s leader being diagnosed with H1N1, it’s only natural that fans would become very concerned about the future of their leader and his group.

Fortunately for fans and concerned netizens, fellow member Kim Hyung Joon was present at the ‘Find it! Green Gold’ press conference and appeased any worries. He stated, “We are absolutely fine now. I was really surprised when I heard of the news that Hyun Joong hyung was infected with H1N1 influenza. I knew that Hyun Joong hyung could not return from Japan because of H1N1 influenza through news reports. Even though we didn’t talk (over the phone) to each other, I heard he is getting better in health. His condition is getting much better and seems that he will be able to resume his activities within 2 weeks’ time.”

In the meantime, magnae Kim Hyung Joon, along with Super Junior’s Shin Dong, 2AM’s Jo Kwon, and Fly to the Sky’s Brian, will be hosting a brand new SBS variety program called ‘Find it! Green Gold’ focusing on the envirornment. For those interested, the show will air on September 14.

Han Seung Yeon is Targeted By a Male Entertainer

It has been revealed that many male entertainers are going after girl group KARA.

Member Han SeungYeon was on KBS ‘Star Golden Bell’ recently when she was asked, “To say the truth, is there any male entertainer you have worked with?” by MC Kim JaeDong.

And she answered, “There was this male entertainer who has asked for my contact number, and after that he would call everyday at 2am in the morning. And then he would send messages like ‘Have you eaten?’, ‘Did you think of me today?’.”

With that, other guest star appearances joked, “You sure he is not 2AM’s ChangMin?” And SeungYeon said, “He is not someone who is currently promoting now.”

This episode of Star Golden Bell will be aired on 12th September.
